Err help this poor old duffer, err ave we got Simple Minds (great band) and Duran Duran a mixed up 'ere... Thought Simple Minds did "Don't You Forget About Me"... Duran Duran did that silly stuff about 'Wild Boys' and things while looking pretty on a big boat or summat... Duran Duran naahhh I'm with Lee & Liz on this, though I did and still do rate Simple Minds, fantastic live band!! Maybe pop/rock or art/rock... Recent album is pretty good, though not a classic. Cheers Confused Prog Paul (I know it don't take much!)...

when I lived in Brum in the mid 80s - I remember going past The Rumrunners Club on Broad Street, and hearing a Duran song. I gawped through a small gap in the curtains and there they were - rehearsing. I later found out that that was where their fanclub was based. Saw JT with his Villa scarf on. That got the band a brownie point from me. And I worked just round the corner from the place where UB40 recorded. During the summer, with all the windows open in the office, you could hear them making a right old din - very distracting.

NO. Duran Duran is not an AOR group. They are an 80's pop group
