Even though im not new to the melodic scene i am new to forum posting on said subject and i gotta say mr.com is so infantile it,s unbelievable,there,s a lot of bitterness and petty snipping over there i tend not to post just read.You guys here are much more my cup of tea and i,ve been welcomed in with warmth and friendship and i look forward to meeting you all live so to speak at FF5. Oh and at the moment i smell of cat shit just cleaned the litter tray ;D ;D

Fantastic news been a huge Newman fan for years ;D, gonna be amazing to see the guy live! he better play "That Kind Of Girl".........

"We will be announcing the headline act for Z Rock 09 May 30th on Monday October 13th at 6pm gmt.
We are expecting the show to sell out very quickly as do
the few people whom are aware of whom the act is ;O) to quote one "you'll have to run 2/3 nights at least to deal with demand". This really is a major catch and possibly makes Z Rock 09 the allday show for melodic rock, aor and classic rock fans to be held in Europe since 1991 and that is not said lightly.

I Know a lot of you both here and on other forums have a lot of doubts about Z rocks . Ive known mark a long time and never had any problems with him at all , My team and i at frontiers rock nights over the last 3 years have worked on the Z events . Myself as compare and dj .
After last years event we all sat down and decided that Zrocks 2009 should be a group organised affair rather than Mark doing the lot on his own the decission was arrived at due to stress and long hours and not having anyone to bounce ideas off .
I have been involved in putting this years bill together we have had a few disapointments on certain bands not being able to commit due to recording comitments or prior engagements .
To Answer the question as to why we dont wait and announce all the bands at once is that most of the bands we have delt or are dealing with want to go public as soon as contracts are signed so we announce once a contract as been signed so bands can do there own press releases etc .
To organise a show like the one we are putting on this year does take a lot of time i can already state that Z will not be moving round venues in future as it has in the last few years we feel that jb's is the place to call home as far as Z is concerned .
I kNow in the past that Mark and various people have had there differances all i can say is i have seen various paperwork before the frontiers team became involved and all we can say is those events are in the past and bear in mind its a new team behind Z now .
On the refund issue all i can state is that in future should we have to pull a band for any reason refunds will be offered i know for a fact Mark refunded a few people last year on the black n blue issue .
We have gone all out to secure the services of a major act to headline Z and we also have a few more bands up our sleaves and hopefully the full line up will be revealed by early november ! The Saturday headline act is a major triumph for Z if you had said to me we would get this artist a month ago i wouldve laughed and asked what you had been drinking .
We sewed this deal up in 3 days after getting majorly mucked about by another act .
I know Mark has a past reputation but remember from now on when you slag off Z your slagging off a new bunch of people yes MArk is still at the helm but he now has a team around him who do this for the love of it not to make money we are all big music fans and we do it purely for the love of it !
From now on if theres a problem come and talk to us we are all approachable and ready to help if we can .
We want to put Z back to were it was back in the 90,s there have been mistakes made but thats in the past and we understand it will take time to gain peoples confidence again .
One final note for those of you who say that you will buy tickets on the day after a discussion with the club owner of jb's we think that there may be a sell out situation plus by buying tickets in advance means that the acts we announce will appear we are going to move heaven and earth to make sure they do appear all we ask is you give the zrocks 2009 show a chance we are already making plans for 2010 in fact we will be announcing that show at the 2009 show . Bear with us we are doing everything possible to make the errors of past right .

Well Woody All i can say is that none has mentioned our headliner as yet !
All im going to say is that its a legend of AOR someone who is a major pull for an audience .
Mark will hopefully be making the announcement no later than Wednesday due to a public holiday in the usa delaying the contract we have sent being returned so we can make the announcement !
