I can't wait for the bands to be announced! although I'll be there regardless too Dean! It'll not be on the scale of something like FF, but i reckon their will be atleast 4 big names / acts (well atleast within the scene) 1 for the Friday the other 3 for the saturday. I suspect a lot of the line up will be smaller / British bands but that don't always mean crap! I know the show opener will be the unsigned band who wins the Z Rock talent search at The Limelight!.......................my minds racing with possible bands........hows this one for the rumour mill.......Vixen........i was reading Fireworks and in an interview with COP they were on about bringing vixen over in April.............well i'm probably puting 2 and 2 together and getting 5 and it would mean COP are on the bill aswell..........obviosuly i'd love bands like Gun / Brother Firetribe / Khymera / H.E.A.T / Crown Of Thorns to be on the bill but thats probably wishful thinking!

Personally, I'd start guessing on a couple of Z Records bands to start with.

I'm guessing Eden and Maychild will be playing..........with Britny Fox & Black N Blue touring this autumn i wouldn't automatically guess at them.....but with this been a Z showcase, these guys are more likely than a non- Z act! from what i can gather there is a brace of new Z signings so i would say those or a good chunk of those will be on the bill............but as to who Z's new signing's are i wouldn't have a clue!...........

....and so it begins....all that "chopping and changing!!"

Post by Woody on Sept 22, 2008 20:33:23 GMT
I think the date change was due to a fifth "Named" band been added to the mix and making it possible for them to play, I'm presuming this band weren't in the mix when the inital date was announced or the something came up after the date was announced that made Z have to change date. But given the history of th event it is an ill omen.......
But events like this are hard to get going especially when they are announced 8-9 months before they happen, anything can happen! Firefest have had a few headache's this year with the Friday Night going pear shaped and trying to fit in a few Friday night bands onto the main days, Brooke leaving Tyketto , The swap of Valentine & Mitch Malloy , and ofcourse Tony Harnell's cancellation. Organising something like this isn't easy and a hell of a lot of hard work with lots of things which the organisers can't control as FF have found this year "fans" are fickle and can turn on you as quickly as they praise you. Even though FF is run profesionally and extremely fan friendly, they can't stop things like ill health , band break up's , spotty students wanting disco's ect....
I hope Z Rock runs smoothly and all the bands announced play, for the sake of those who do go, but i'm sure Mark will have some headache's infront of him before the first band takes to the stage, i think he has to deal with any problems as professionally as he can with people who have got advance tickets..........
